Charming Sentiment Garden Walk Birthday Card. Crazy Challenge Insta Hop - I See Rectangles

 Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are well?

Today I'm joining in with an Insta Hop run by two amazing Australian Stampin Up Demos - Trish Soliman & Bec Nutley. This challenge is 'I See Rectangles' - a very simple theme, but has so much scope!

Now I don't always follow these Insta Hops with a blog post - but my design for this card is ridiculously simple, a great way to use up scraps and looks fabulous - so i thought it was definitely worth a share.

Measurements

Mossy Meadow Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

1pc - 3 1/2" x 1 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Garden Walk DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - 3 3/8" x 1 1/2"

5pc - 3/4" x 5 3/8"

--------------------------------------------

Take the Mossy Meadow Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Basic White piece to the inside.

Now, line up the 5 DSP strips and adhere to the 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Mossy Meadow. Allow a nice even border around the four edges, but butt up the strips leaving no space between them, Layer this to the 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" piece of DSP and add the whole panel to the centre of the card front.

On scraps of Basic White stamp the sentiments in Mossy Meadow ink and trim into neat rectangles. Also stamp the stamp to get the word 'of' in Calypso Coral ink. Trim this neatly and add to the sentiment directly above the Mossy Meadow version.

Layer up the remaining pieces of DSP and Mossy Meadow, then add the sentiments to it.

Place this into the centre of the card front.

I told you this was ridiculously easy, didn't I? This layout is great for using up your scraps and would work with so many paper designs and sentiments - definitely going to be a go to layout for me in the future!
