Tasteful Textures Ink Block Technique Handmade Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone,

I hope you are all alright??

Today I have a fun technique to share with you. It's the Inky Block technique. It gives such unique results everytime.

What is the Inky Block technique I hear you ask??
So, you take a big stamping block and load it with colour from your stamp pad. Lay the block flat, then tap your ink pad directly onto it over half of the block, then add another colour to the other side. Then you use this block as a stamp pad and ink up from here.

Here's my card for today ...

Measurements

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
Scrap for sentiment

Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Scrap of Blueberry bushel cardstock.

Ink up you block as detailed above using Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel ink. Take the image from tasteful textures stamp and using the block as a pad, pick up colour and stamp onto the smaller piece of whisper white. Cover the whole piece, making sure you move around the ink block when you load up with ink, so you get different colours each time.

Add this piece to the lovely lipstick cardstock, then place jn the centreof a card base that was made by folding the larger piece of whisper white along the score line.

Stanp the Happy Birthday onto a scrap of whisper white in blueberry bushel ink, then layer into some blueberry bushel cardstock.
Add this to the card with dimensionals.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store
