Rustic Retreat Happy Birthday Card

Good afternoon,

Hope you are all having a fab weekend. We have just had a lazy weekend, Dave's ill and I am having problems with a tooth so it's not been great, but we have had a really nice relaxing chilled out weekend so far.
I have a lovely simple card for you using the Rustic Retreat stamp set, which I love. This set lends itself to masculine cards really well, and that's why I created this today......

Run the largest oval from the stitched shapes dies through your die cutting machine with whisper white card stock. Stanp the deer image towards the bottom with memento ink.

Take a small circle shape and use as a mask in the top left hand corner, sponge over the top with balmy blue, then lightly add ink further down towards the image.

Next use the negative space from the punch out and butt it up to the circle shape left, covering your balmy blue sponging. Add mango melody very lightly to the negative space.

Colour in the deer and grass using blends, then lightly sponge the white area left under the grass with old olive ink.

Create a card base from a piece of mossy meadow that measures 4 1/8" x 11 3/4". Score at 5 7/8" and fold. Add a piece of whisper white to the inside that measures 5 5/8" x 3 7/8". I also stamped a deer jn the right hand bottom corner of this piece.

Add a piece of vellum to the card front that measures 2 1/4" x 5" approx. Adhere this down with a bit of snail on the left hand side. Then add a small amount to the right, under where the sentiment with go.

Cover the back of the oval with dimensionals and add to the card front on top of the vellum. Make sure that the oval cover the snail below.

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of whisper white and sponge the edges using mossy meadow ink. Layer onto a piece of crumb cake card stock with snail. Add a small amount of snail to the back of the sentiment and loop some copper trim. Then  cover the back with dimensionals and add to the vellum, this time making sure you cover the other piece of snail underneath.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store
