Vintage Christmas Happy Holidays Gift Card Holder & Money Wallet. Touches of Ink Blog Hop 2022

 Good Evening Everyone

Here in the UK we are experiencing some real hot weather - which is fabulous - I'm loving it, but that makes it feel really odd to be creating for Christmas! But, needs must and if I am to stay ahead of the game and be on top of all I need then I must crack on with these projects! haha.

Today I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Touches of Ink ladies and we have free choice of a Suite of a Bundle to showcase from any of our current catalogues. So I've chosen to use the Vintage Christmas Stamp Set, which coordinates with our Bottle Punch.

----------------------------------

Take the Merry Merlot card stock and score on the long side at 1" and 4 1/8".

On the all of the basic white pieces except the largest piece, stamp the floral image along with the foliage and cones. I used Merry Merlot, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake to create my cluster. This set is great as you use all three stamps to build the image, allowing you more colour control.

On the larger piece, add some of the floral clusters down the right hand side, being mindful that this is the space to write your message, so you want to leave some white space. Also add the Merry Christmas Sentiment.

Fold the card stock in half and have the card facing you so you have the other score line to the front.

Add the 7/8" and one of the 2 7/8" wide pieces to the font of the card.

Hold the card 'open' add the other 2 7/8" wide piece to the coordinating sized panel.

Then add tear and tape to the top and bottom to the skinny rectangular panel to the left and the fold over so it creates a pocket.

Add the large basic white stamped piece to the inside of the card.

Fold the card closed.

Wrap the Merry Merlot card stock strip and the card and over lap it slightly at the front to create a belly band. Make sure that the band is relatively tight, but loose enough to slide on and off simply. Once the glue has dried, trim off any excess card over the centre.

On the 4 x 3 piece of basic white stamp the happy holidays circle to create a background. Layer this to the Merry Merlot card stock.

Using scraps of Basic White Stamp the Bottles in Early Espresso, a floral cluster in the same combination as earlier and also a small Happy Holidays circle in Merry Merlot ink. Use the Vintage Bottle punch to cut out the tall bottle and fussy cut every thing else.

Build up the focal point on this panel using liquid glue and dimensionals. Adding a small pearl to the sentiment.

Finally add couple of dimensionals onto belly band in the centre and then adhere the panel to it.

It's a really simple design but makes a really pretty and fancier way to give a gift card.
