Pretty Flowers Embossed Happy Birthday Card. Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC26

 Good Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend? As it's Monday, It means today's project is showcasing the brand new colour combo over on Creative Colour Challenges

I really like this combo, and I decided on a simple approach using the Pretty Flowers Embossing folder as the main focus. I don;t know about you, but i'm terrible at neglecting my Embossing Folders - and this one really is pretty.

Measurements

Sahara Sand Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Fresh Freesia Card Stock

1pc - 3 1/8" x 5"

1pc - scrap

Blackberry Bliss Card Stock

1pc - 3 1/4" x 5 1/8"

1pc - 3" x 4 7/8"

------------------------------------------------

Take your Sahara Sand Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the Very Vanilla to the inside.

Bring in your Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine and the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. Emboss the smallest piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock, and then emboss enough of the fresh freesia to get the large flower head, and the sahara sand to get some nice leaves. Fussy Cut the flower and a selection of leaves.

Stamp the sentiment to the left of a strip of Very Vanilla, trim down to 3" and adhere to the embossed Blackberry Bliss Panel. Layer this to the fresh freesia and then to the larger piece of Blackberry bliss then add to the centre of the card front.

Sponge the edges of the leaves with Sahara Sand ink and the flower head with both some Fresh Freesia and sahara sand, adding just fresh freesia to the centre. This helps pick up on some of the detail.

Add the flower with a dimensional to the card, then with liquid glue attach the leaves, tucking them under the flower.
