Catching Butterflies Happy Birthday Card. Stamping INKspirations Colour Challenge Blog Hop. February 2022

 Good Evening Everyone,

How are you all doing? I hope you all have had a good weekend so far.

I'm hopping along with the Stamping INKspirations group this evening and it promises to be a fabulous Hop. For this month's theme we were given a Colour Challenge to use and I thought I may struggle with this one, but I decided to crack open my scrap box, and with the addition of the Celebrate with flowers stamp set and the wonderful Free Saleabration Catching Butterflies stamp set  it just came together and I managed to use all 5 colours, which impressed me! Haha.

Measurements

Thick Basic White card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

1pc - Scrap

Fresh Freesia DSP from the In Colors Pack

1pc - scrap

Strips of the coloured card, all 5 as as above 3/4" wide.

----‐-----------------------------------------------

Take your basic white card Stock and adhere the steips of card Stock diagonally across it to create a background. Once dry trim off the ends so that it's all flush with the mat underneath.

Ink up the happy Birthday sentiment from Celebrate with Flowers stamp set in one of those five colours and stamp it on the coordinating coloured card strip. Repeat this for all the strips.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the girl image from Catching Butterflies stamp set in memento, once dry colour in with blends. Stamp the image again into the fresh freesia dsp and cut out her dress only. glue this over the basic white piece so it looks like it was always meant to be like that. Fussy cut the girl.

Also stamp some of the Butterflies onto the coloured card and then fussy cut these too.

Fold the thick basic white card stock along the score line, add the mat layer and then arrange the girl and Butterflies on top.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card today, please continue through the hop for some more awesome INKspiration from these fabulous Creators. Jill Chapman is next, please click on the button below to head right over to her blog
