Free as a Bird Thank You Card. Crafty Collaborators Die Cutting Technique Blog Hop February 2021

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on Die Cutting.

Die cutting is relatively simple and can add dimension and interest very quickly to any project. I have kept my design quite simple here and used the Nested Labels Dies and lots of die cut leaves surround a lovely image of the birds on a branch.

Take your shaded spruce card stock along the score line to create your card base, then add the Basic White card stock to the inside.

Bring out your Cut & Emboss machine and die cut the following:-

1x Stitched Nested Label in Basic White, large enough to fit the image,

1x Stitched Nested Label Die (same size as above) in Forever Greenery DSP

Selection on leaves from the Wrapped Flowers Dies in Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green card stock along with some in vellum.

Stamp the birds image and the sentiment onto the basic white label in memento ink. Once dry, colour in using a selection of Stampin Blends.

Add this to the centre of the card on dimensionals. Take the DSP dies cut and cut in half - add one piece to either side of the stamped image.

Now add some liquid glue to the back of the leaf stems and tuck them under opposite corners of the stamped panel.

And that's it - told you the die cutting adding that extra fun element, without it being over complicated.

Please do continue through the Hop and what everyone else has created for the Die Cutting Technique Challenge
