A Touch of Ink Thank You Greetings Card. Crafty Collaborations Spring Themed Blog Hop. February 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I am blog hopping with the Crafty Collaborations Crew and we are showcasing Spring Creations. I decided to use these lovely flowers, Crocus start to bloom in Spring, so I thought that's where I'd go with it!

The images here are from the Touch of Ink stamp set which is currently FREE during Sale a Bration - get in touch to find out more.

Measurements

Gorgeous Grape Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Take the Gorgeous Grape Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add one of the basic white pieces to the inside.

Rub over an anti static tool over the remaining piece of basic white and then stamp the leaf image all over it using versamark ink. Sprinkle over the clear embossing powder so it sticks to the wet ink. Gently tap off the excess powder, then heat set with your heat tool. Make sure that the powder is all melted and is shiny and smooth.

Repeat the embossing process with three of the flowers and the hummingbird on scraps of basic white card stock.

Once these have all cooled down, colour in using sponges. For the Crocus I used Gorgeous grape and mango for the crocus and shaded spruce, old olive & merry merlot for the humming bird. Fussy cut these out.

Sponge the leaf panel with shaded spruce, olive olive and granny apple green - giving each colour approx 1/3rd of the piece, making sure you blend in well where the colours meet. Then, take some tissue paper or your shammy and rub over the panel to take the ink off the embossed areas - as this will just sit on top, it cant soak in like it does on the bare card stock. Add the leaf panel to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of basic white and punch out using the smooth oval in the double oval punch and a scalloped oval in silver foil, layer these up and add to the card front towards the bottom with dimensionals.

Add the Crocus to the card front, tucking the stems behind the sentiment then place the hummingbird above.
