Happiest of Birthdays to You Greeting Card using Stampin Up Products

Hello Everyone,

Can you believe it's Monday again.... I have had an awesome weekend. My niece had a Unicorn birthday party on Saturday and yesterday was my boyfriend's Grans Birthday.

I wanted to show off the card I made for her. It's a similar technique to what I used last week with my so eclectic card, but the results are so different.

I wanted to keep this card clean and simple, keeping the focus on the large floral image - so the layers of Tranquil tide, fresh fig and whisper white create depth and interest without being over facing.

To create the large image, I used versamark ink on my stamp to cover one corner of the card. Cover the inked area with gold embossing powder, tap off the excess and use the heat tool to melt the powder into place.

I decided to cover in the image with Stampin Write markers, but any colouring media will work. Having the otulines embossed helps to keep the ink inside the lines and from bleeding out. I used a paper towel to dab across the top once finished to remove any ink that was sitting on the heat embossed lines.

The 'Happiest of Birthdays to you' sentiment comes from the same stamp set as the floral image as was stamped in the opposite corner using black archival ink. I added the word Gran from a clearly Besotted stamp set that I also have.

Here is a list of all the products used (except the clearly besotted stamp set which I don't think is available anymore). Click on the links and you will be taken straight to my online store to purchase.

NOTE:- The Birthday Blooms stamp set will retire at the end of May, so be sure to get it ordered before it's no longer around.

Hope to see you all soon.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stylized Greetings Card using Stampin Up Products

Happy Sunday Everyone,

This week has been so busy, I have a full time job along with my crafting business... and I don't know what's happened this week but I have been busy on both sides. I have met myself coming the other way, so after catching up and getting onto a straight edge, I realised I needed a super quick and beautiful birthday card ready to post out tomorrow. Opps.

My friend loves pink, so I thought this would be perfect!

I took the stylized birthday and stamped it in black memento ink, then taking the small floral element from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. This is a two step stamp so I used melon mambo for the outline and powder pink for the infill image. I used wink of stella to add a small dot of shimmer to the centre of each flower - although it doesn't show up too well on the photo.

Taking a piece of melon mambo card stock, I offset layered the two mats onto a basic black card base.

On the inside I did the same with the melon mambo and the white, to mirror the card front design, although the whisper white layer was kept blank to let me write a birthday message.

Here is a list of the supplies I used, click on the links below to head over to my online store... Do keep in mind that the Stylized Birthday stamp is due to retire at the end of May :(
Thank you so much for taking a look at today's card.

See you soon

You're Just Lovely Eclectic Birthday Card using Stampin Up Products

Good Morning Folks,

I decided to focus on the Naturally Eclectic Suite in this blog post. The bold bright colours along with great  images and sentiments from the stamp set give you so much scope to create a variety of wonderful cards.

Unfortunately as we are drawing to the end of our annual catalogue - we will loose the 2016-2018 in colors, in which two appear in this suite - Peekaboo Peach & Emerald Envy and the DSP. Thankfully the Stamp set and framelits are staying!

Here's my card for today, sticking with the colours I know will be staying around:-

I took the outline image of the open flower and gold heat embossed it three times, then I used my Stampin' Write markers to colour them in. I fussy cut the flowers, but there is a framelit set which has a piece to cut the flower if you wish, I just found it quick to fussy cut. Whilst I had the heat tool out, I also gold embossed the sentiment onto fresh fig cardstock.

Fresh Fig is used to make a tent fold card base and a piece of the naturally eclectic DSP was layered on top. I cut a thin piece of lemon lime twist and stamped it with petal images to inject a little bit more colour.

This was a very quick and simple card to make, The detailed DSP and the beautiful stamp set really do all the hard work themselves!!

here's a list of all the products I used, if you would like to purchase any just click on the link and you will be taken to my online store.

Thank you for joining me today.. don't forget to check out this amazing suite. Although some of the item will still be available in the new catalogue some will disappear for good.

See you again soon.

Artistically Asian Greetings Card using Stampin Up products

Hey Everyone,

Monday again, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent Saturday crafting with my friend Amanda - which was so much fun. We made allsorts of projects, had a good natter and of course plenty of coffee and biscuits. I always end up coming away from our get togethers full of new ideas and new ways of seeing things!!

One thing we chatted about is the arrival of the new catalogue and the sets we will miss when they retire.... also those stamp set that haven't been shown too much love. You all know how it is, you get a new delivery and these stamps seem to be used regularly and others seem to just sit on the shelf.

I decided that I would go back to my stamp shelf and take a closer look at all the sets I own and make sure I get some use out of the sets that I haven't used or used very little.

Here's my card for today using the Artistically Asian, which will carry over into the next catalogue - but I was yet to ink it up. And, boy! I'm glad I did because I love this card.

I wanted to create a dramatic card so I thought black, red and gold would work perfectly.

I thought the plain red looked a little flat, so I used the two symbols and covered the whole piece in real red ink, It's subtlety works well to create come additional interest.

Taking the floral image and the symbols I used gold embossing power to get  really bold and shiny images. These were then layered onto so gold foil and placed onto the mat.

This piece was put onto a basic black card base.

Here is a list of all the products used, if you would like to purchase, click on the images to be taken to my online store..

I hope you have enjoyed today's card. I encourage you to take a look a bit deeper into the products you already have, you will be surprised at what you have which may be overlooked.

Don't forget the Stampin Up retirement list has been published and there are a lot of stamp sets that will no longer be available come 1st June.... head over to check out the items leaving us and take advantage now before they are no longer available.

Thanks for stopping by,

See you soon
