Good Morning Everyone
Today we have Share it on a Sunday, where Donna, Karen and Myself all share a project for you - our theme is 'Anything Goes' so you can expect to see anything, really! haha.
I have decided to share a card I made for a team challenge earlier this week. The lovely Janice Thompson from Jazzle Dazzle Crafts set us a Mystery Stamping Challenge.
So with Mystery Stamping you are given a set of directions to follow which are very basic and you interpret them as you like - resulting in a huge variety of possibilities.
The first 'Clue' is a list of items you will need, again very basic -
- choose a card and DSP which coordinate
- a stamp set that has small elements and sentiments
and so on. Then Janice did a live video with further steps/Clues of putting the card together. Everyone follows the clues and depending of how you place elements and which products you choose - no card is ever the same. It's great fun!
I decided to use the Regency Park Suite as it had the stamp sets, DSP and embellishments to match, I just added a bit of white bakers twine.
Measurements
Janice works in cm's and I tend to work in inches, so I altered my measurements slightly so that it would work for Imperial.
Night of Navy Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4". scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 4 1/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/8" x 4 7/8"
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2" x 4 3/4"
1pc - scrap
Regency Park DSP
1pc - 4" x 3 3/4"
1pc - 1 5/8" x 3 1/2"
------------------------------------------------------
Take the larger piece of Night of Navy and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the larger piece of Basic White to the inside and the larger panel of DSP to the card front.
On the remaining piece of Basic White stamp the flowers and leaves to fill the card. I used 1st generation stamping for the outlines and 2nd generation (stamping off once first) for the in fill.
Layer this piece and the remaining piece of DSP to their coordinating Night of Navy mats. Wrap a length of Bakers twine around the DSP panel a few times and secure on the back. Then adhere both panels to the card.
On a scrap of Basic white stamp the sentiment from Charming Sentiments in Night of Navy ink and trim down. Add to the card with dimensionals.
Finally add some Milky Dots.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today - it was so much fun to create, I will definitely be doing some more Mystery Stamping. Please take a look at the links below and check out what Donna & Karen have both created today
