Perfectly Penciled Birthday Card for a Wonderful Friend

  Good Morning Everyone

Today I have a very pretty card to share with you, which is similar to a design I created before using this lovely image from the Perfectly Penciled DSP. My original was quite simple, so I decided to revisit it and add a little bit more, but still keeping the focus on that gorgeous floral piece.

Measurements

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Layering Designs Vellum

3 Butterflies

Basic Black Card Stock

-----------------------------------------------------

Take the Vellum and lay it over the Basic White Panel, making sure you have it all lined up, and an even overhang on each side, then fold either side over so it sits nice and tight and smoothly over the front of the card - burnish the vellum folds well. Flip this over and notch in the two tabs slightly - this will help it sit better and be flatter on your card. Secure down with a bit of tear and tape.

Colour the floral image and butterflies with a selection of Stampin Blends and then fussy cut them all. Arrange these onto the Vellum panel and glue down using liquid glue. Trim off any over hanging details.  I then well carefully added a little bit of liquid glue between the vellum and basic white behind the flower to anchor it a bit more.

Fold the Thick Basic White card stock along the score line to create your card base, adding the vellum panel to the centre of the card front.

On scraps of Basic White stamp the sentiments in memento black ink trim the Happy Birthday into a neat rectangle and fussy cut out the script. Layer both these onto Basic Black and trim /fussy cut to give a nice even mat.

Arrange the sentiments and butterflies onto the card front, filling out the space. Adhere with Dimensionals
