Good Evening Everyone
Today I'm blog hopping with the wonderful Stamping INKspiration ladies and our theme this month is a Colour Challenge! Well you know me and a colour challenge, right?
We are given a selection of colours and an image to help us with inspiration. For this particular Hop we had 5 colours and you have to use a minimum of three on your project, but I managed to combine all five! Yes, I surprised myself haha!
I thought the flower cluster and leaf image would allow me to create a unique background incorporating all of the colours.
So Saffron, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Shaded Spruce
Measurements
Tahitian Tide Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
Basic White Card Stock
2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
So Saffron Card Stock
1pc - scrap
------------------------------------------
Take the Tahitian Tide Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the Basic White panels to the inside.
On the remaining piece of Basic White, cover the whole of it in to flower and leaf images using Memento ink. I used the solid in fill stamps to colour in these images, But there's some "white" left with these images, which looks great, but I decided to use stampin Blends to add So Saffron to the Flowers, which are both Sweet Sorbet & Orchid Oasis, and the Leaves which is Shaded Spruce - I used the lighter pen to get two tones.
Ink up the three dot image from Framed Occasions and use this to fill in the White space between the images.
Once happy with the design, add this to the card front.
Bring in your Cut & Emboss Machine and using the smaller detail label and a scrap of so saffron cut out one shape. Take you blender brush and add some So Saffron ink to the detailed edges. This just helps give them a deeper tone and makes them stamp out a bit more.
In the centre of this label die cut, stamp the two sentiments in Memento ink, then add to the card front with Dimensionals. This an be placed anywhere, but I chose to add it towards the top so you could see a few full floral images.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please continue through the hop - there's a lot of amazing inspiration for this colour combination. Annette Ball is up next - Head on over to see what she has created.
