Let's Celebrate You Card with Decorative Borders and Dainty Flowers. InspireINK Blog Hop February 2023

Good Morning Everyone

Today I'm taking part in the InspireINK monthly Blog Hop and our theme is 'Celebration'.

I decided to create a simple card with the sentiment 'Let's Celebrate You' - which is a great sentiment for a few occasions. I've used the gorgeous Dainty Flowers DSP (which is FREE during Sale-a-bration), but wanted to showcase the 'non floral' designs, and I think they work well as a background for the decorative border strip. What do you think?

Measurements

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8", scored at 4 1/8"

Dainty Flowers DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - 1 1/2" x 5 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5 5/8" x approx 2"

Take the Night of Navy Card stock and fold along the score line, adding the large Basic White piece to the inside.

On the 1 1/2" strip of DSP, stamp the sentiments to the right hand side then adhere this strip to the bottom of the larger piece of DSP, making sure all the three edges line up flush.

Ink up the floral image from Decorative Borders stamp set in Memento ink and stamp about 1/2" from the left edge of the remaining strip of Basic White. Now ink up the diamond border image and run that along side that image creating a stamped length along the card, then add another line above.

Once dry colour in with Stampin Blends and fussy cut to create a nice decorative border!

Add this to the DSP panel, covering the join of the two papers, then glue down to the card front.
