Perfectly Penciled Joy Fold Birthday Card. Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop September 2022

 Good Evening Everyone

I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Stamping INKspirations ladies this evening and this month our theme is Favourite Fun Fold. I had to have a little think as to which my fave was, but I decided on a Joy Fold. I really like this fold as it's really simple to create and you can get some amazing effects. It's a fold I have recreated on several occasions and each time it looks completely different depending on the papers and decoration I have chosen.

Today's decoration is from the Perfectly Penciled DSP - a great monotone black and white pack of designs perfect to colour and coordinate to any colour scheme.

I've used the large flourish as my focal image and the small images for a background and I think they work so well together.

Measurements

Basic Gray Card Stock

1pc - 8 7/8" x 4 1/8", scored at 3"

1pc - 3" x 7 1/2", scored at 3 3/4"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Perfectly Penciled DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5 5/8" x 2 5/8"

1pc - fussy cut floral cluster

1pc - fussy cut butterfly

----------------------------------------

First of all colour in the DSP with a selection on Stampin Blends. I decided to go bold and bright with my floral cluster, and keep the background panels soft and subtle - but you can colour as you wish. Pop these to one side.

Take the Basic Gray Card Stock pieces and fold along the score line.

Take the larger piece of Basic Gray card stock and place it in front of you with the fold to the left. Add the largest DSP panel to the inside, and the second largest to the smaller card front flap you created.

With the smaller piece of Basic Gray  card stock hold that so the fold is on the right. Add the two piece of Basic white panels to this - one on the front and one to the inside.

Close the card and lay it flat and add the floral cluster towards the left hand side, making sure you are leaving enough room for your sentiment to be placed towards the right. Also add the Butterfly.

Stamp the sentiment in the available space in Basic Gray ink.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and will take the time to continue through the blog hop for lots more Fun Fold Inspiration. Leonie is up next, click below to head over to her blog to see what she chose as her fave fun fold...
