Shaded Summer Hello You Lidded Gift Box. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC53

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a fabulous Weekend.

As always, my project for a Monday is for the brand new Creative Colour Challenges combo for the week. This week we have Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia & Night of Navy - a gorgeous mix of colours.

I decided to create a very simple lidded box - made specifically to showcase the floral image from Shaded Summer and it measures 4" x 3" x 2", so a really great size to gift all sorts of goodies in.

Measurements

Fresh Freesia Card Stock

1pc - 7" x 8"

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc - 6" x 5"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 7/8"

scraps

------------------------------

In the centre of your Basic White piece stamp the floral image in Evening Evergreen ink.

On a scrap stamp the image again, but this time in Fresh Freesia. Fussy cut all the flower heads and the flower bud, making sure you leave a small white border around the edge, it needs to be tight otherwise when placed in may go over the stamping below that you don't want covering.

Using your wink of stella pen, 'colour' in the leaves. If you gently come in from the edges of the images you will pull in some of the colour to tint the leaves.

Take the fussy cut pieces and add to the evening evergreen image, directly over the correct spots, taking care to line then up perfectly, as I said before in some areas, there's not much space between some of the imagery.

Add some of the wink of stella to the centre of all the flowers.

Stamp the sentiment into the bottom left in Night of Navy, then pop this to one side whilst you create the box.

Take the Fresh Freesia card stock and in your Simply Scored and score on all four side at 2". Fold and burnish all the score lines and then cut up all the squares and notch to create tabs.

Repeat the above process with the Night of Navy Card stock, but score at 1" on all four sides.

Pop the Stamped panel into the centre of the Night of Navy Card stock.

Add Seal+ to the tabs you created - fold up the Tab on the Fresh Freesia to create the base, and the tabs on the Night of Navy to create the lid.

And that is the box made - told you it was simple!! If you would like more information on the Challenge or would like to add a project, head over to my blog Creative  Colour Challenges for more details, on get in touch.
