Wishing You Happiness Rings of Love Interlocking Gate Fold Card. Fun Fold Friday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday!! It's Fun Fold Friday and all three of us have projects to share today!

I've made an Interlocking Gatefold card using the beautiful Rings of Love DSP -  which is a FREE limited edition paper only available as a Saleabration Rewards until the end of August - or stock sells out. So be sure to grab yourself a pack before it's too late.

The sentiments are from Potted Geraniums, and I thought this would be a nice card to give maybe a guy for an anniversary or a birthday.

Measurements

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"

3pc - 3 7/8" x 1 5/8"

scraps

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Rings of Love DSP

2pc - 1 7/8" x 5 5/8"

3pc - 1 1/2" x 3 3/4"

--------------------------------

With your Night of Navy card stock score on the long side at 2 1/16" on one side, then turn it over and score at 2 1/16", so that you have two thinner strip down either side of the length. Fold these both toward the centre of the card stock and these will close together to create the card front. Pop the basic white card stock into the inside back panel of the card.

Add the two larger pieces of DSP to each side of the card front.

Layer the remaining pieces of DSP to the three card stock mats and then arrange then on the card front placing the bird print in the centre, trying to evenly space then out so that it all looks central and have the sentiment in the middle.

Now, you have to concentrate and be careful where you apply your adhesive - if you go too far you will stick the card shut!

Start with the top piece and add adhesive to the back of it, but only on the half that will cover the left hand 'door' - the rest should be free to just sit over the opposite 'door'. Repeat this exact process for the bottom panel. Then with the centre panel add adhesive only to the half that will sit over the right hand 'door'.

Finally, stamp the sentiments in Night of Navy ink onto scraps of Basic White trim and layer to some scraps of Night of Navy. Add these to the card front.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - like I said it's really simple and I can see that this could easily be adapted to any occasion and any style by just switching up the DSP.
