Thankful We are Friends Framed Occasions Greeting Card. Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC50

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday - I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

As it's Monday, I wanted to share the card I have made for this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo which is Flirty Flamingo, Starry Sky and Early Espresso. I found it a little tricky to figure out what I was going to do with this, but I finally came up with a concept and I love how it turned out.

--------------------------------------------

Take the large flirty flamingo card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the basic white to the inside.

I found it easier to create all my smaller elements first and then I had everything to hand when it came to build up the design.

Stamp a selection of flowers and foliage images from both the Framed Ocassions and Botanical Layers stamp sets in all three colours and fussy cut.

Bring in Your Cut & Emboss machine and cut out a selection of Hexagons with the Beautiful Shapes Dies and the Vellum, Flirty Flamingo and Starry Sky card stock.

Place the 2" square of DSP into your trimmer and cut on the diagonal to create two triangles.

Add these to opposite corners on your card. Make sure if you are using direction paper that you pay attention to the design.

Place the Vellum hexagons on to card which will create a bit of interest in the background. Just be thoughtful as to where you are adding glue, as it will show through, so try and add it toward the centre and most of the will be covered.

Take the smaller flirty flamingo hexagon and stamp the sentiment in early espresso ink. Add this along with a larger starry sky hexagon to the card.

Then just build uo the foliage in the background.

Add the flowers around the top of the hexagons and place one int he centre of the starry sky hexagon.

Place pearls and classic matte dots into the centre of the flowers.

I hoep you have enjoyed my card today. If you would like more info about how the challenge works, or would like to enter a project - head over to my blog - Creative Colour Challenges
