I hope you all are well on the lovely Easter Sunday morning! We are having a leisurely day today... few odd jobs to do but then lots of fun and playtime with Imogen.
But before I carry on with my day, I have another project share for you to take a look at. This week Karen chose the theme, and it is to make a Box.
As always I will show you my project, then I will link to Donna and Karen so you can head over and take a peek at what the both came up with
Here's my box, it's a box to hold two jumbo tea lights. Measuring 5" x 2 1/2" x 1", it's a great size to fit allsorts of treats and goodies.
The Ornate Garden is an awesome suite that is going to be in our 2020 -2021 annual catalogue, but we get to order this on Early Release, so you can order it now and start playing with it's beautiful awesomeness.
Measurements
Terracotta Tile Cardstock
1pc - 8" x 7"
Ornate Garden DSP
2pc - 4 7/8" x 7/8"
2pc - 2 3/4" x 7/8"
1pc - 47/8" x 2 3/4"
Scraps of Terracotta Tile and whisper white cardstock.
Take the Terracotta Tile Cardstock and score as follows
Long Side - 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" & 7
Short Side - 1" & 6"
Fold and burnish all the score lines then, holding the cardstock horizontally, cut up all the score lines then notch into the squares. Do this along the top and the bottom so your cardstock looks like this.
Now add the DSP to the sections which will create the lid, see below. Tip... if you want your pattern to follow around the box - cut a piece of DSP to 4 3/8", then cut a 7/8", 2 3/4" and 7/8". Just make sure you remember which edges line up. Take the 1" circle punch and add a notch in the centreof the long thin panel to the left.
Add tear and tape to all the tabs, and follow the indicators above to stick together. 'A' tabs fold to the right, so do the two centre 'B' tabs, then the final 'B' tabs fold to the left
Take some polka dot tulle ribbon and wrap around the box, tie in a bow
Finally on a scrap of whisper white stamp the sentiment from Family party and trim and layer onto a scrap of Terracotta Tile Cardstock. Add this to the top of the box on a slant, putting the top right hand corner under the bow
Here's a list of the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store for more..
