Hope you have had a fab day, the weather has been nice here so we have spent some time in the Garden along with getting a few odd jobs done around the house.
I wanted to share a second project today. You will have heard me before talk about Stampin for All on Facebook and the weekly colour challenge, well this week sure was a challenge and a half. We were given Cajun Craze, Roccoco Rose and Merry Merlot and I can not repeat my first response hahaha!!! But in true Vickie fashion, I refused to be defeated and came up with this card. Which, I'm super chuffed with
Measurements
Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 11 3/4" x 4 1/8", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"
1pc - scrap for the sentiment
Cajun Craze Cardstock
1pc- 1" wide strip
Roccoco Rose Cardstock
2pc - 1" wide strips
Merry Merlot Cardstock
2pc - 1/2" wide strips.
Take the smaller piece of whisper white and cover completely with snail, then add the strips of DSP. I centralised the Cajun Craze first, then worked out to each edge. Make sure you butt them up close and tight so that so whisper white cardstock is showing through. Trim off the edges to make sure they are flush with the whisper white underneath
Rub over the panel with your embossing buddy to remove any grease and oil from it and be careful not to touch too much of it. Now ink up the star images from Little Twinkle stamp set in versamark and cover the whole piece with clear stars. Sprinkle over clear embossing powder and make sure all the stars are well covered. Gently tap the back of the card to remove any excess powder, you can use a small soft brush to gwt rid of some more stubborn bit that are where they shouldn't be. Set with your heat tool. The powder transform into a shiny glossy finish under the heat... once this occurs it's done.
Add this panel to a card base you create by folding the larger piece of whisper white along the score line.
Finally stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink, trim and add to the centre of the card front with dimensionals
Here's a list of the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store for more on the products
