I hope you are all doing well. I did manage to get a few hours in the craft room yesterday , and boy did I not want to come out... my mojo was in full swing and I created a load of projects I cannot wait share with you. Here's one of them... I bought a necklace as a present for a friend, but I wanted to fancy up the packaging to make it a bit more special....
Measurements
Pool Party Cardstock
1pc - 7 1/2" x 7 1/2"
1pc - 2 3/4" x 5 3/4"
Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
1pc - 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Take the largest piece of pool party and using your simply scored, score on one side at 1/2", 1" and 7", then on the second side at 1/2", 3 1/2",4" and 7". Fold and burnish all the score lines well.
Now, you need to hold your piece of cardstock as above and start snipping bits away. Along the bottom, cut up all the score lines and notch slight into the squares. Turn your attention to the top - you need to create a lid and a tuck flap from the large rectangles on the right, and two small flaps, then remove the rest... here's how it should look once everything is removed.
Add the DSP panel as above, then using the 1" circle punch create a thumb notch. Put adhesivealong the right hand tab and fold round and stick to the opposite edge, then at the bottom fold in the sides and back, then stick down the front to form your box base.
On a scrap of whisper white stamp the sentiment and use the right sized die to cut it out. Adhere it onto a piece of crumb cake and trim the edges so theres a small line of it showing underneath. Add this to the front of the box with dimensionals.
Finally, round the corners of the remaining piece of Pool Party cardstock. Using a hole punch cut two smal circles in the top.. try to get these are equal and straight as possible. Then from the corners, sbip a diagonal line to the circles as below.... this will help you add the necklace with ease.
Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store...
