Lindt Chocolate Heart Gift Box. Number 72 of #100things

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend.. We were super busy, so I'm actually glad to be going back to work today! LOL

Over the weekend I picked up this cute chocolate heart, which was screaming out to be boxed pretty. I chose Pacific Point as my main colour as it matched the foiling on the chocolate.

Measurements:

Pacific Point Cardstock
1pc - 7 1/2" x 4"
1pc - 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Balmy Blue Cardstock
1pc - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Take the large piece of Pacific Point and place in the scored board. On the long side score at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" & 7", then rotate 90 degrees and score on the short side at 1/2" & 3 1/2". Fold and burnish all the score lines well with a bone folder.

Hold the piece of card along the long side so that you have a skinny section top and bottom. Cut up all the score lines to the horizontal and the notch ever so slightly into the squares so you have a shape like this:-

Take the piece of whisper white and with the long strip stamp from A big thank you cover the whole of it with it in balmy blue to create a soft background. Layer this up with the remaining cardstock square and add to the left hand side panel.

Add tear and tape to all the square tabs you have made. The tear and tape is wider than the tabs so you may need to trim it a little. Take the two tabs on the left hand side and stick to the right. The centre two tabs you stick to towards the left, and the remaining tabs on the right, stick to the left and  you have created your box.

Bring in your big shot and cut out two ovals from the stitched shape framelits. the smallest in whisper white and the next size up in Pacific Point. Add the sentiment to the whisper white oval and layer on top of the other. Add this to the lid of the box towards the bottom of your stamped panel.

Finally run a length of solid basic black bakers twice around the bow three times and secure with a bow
