Today I wanted to show you a card I made quickly using the Dashing along DSP. This paper is truly gorgeous and has such varied designs that you can make a huge assortment of cards. Here's mine …
Take a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock that measures 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and score at 4 1/8". Fold and using your bone folder burnish the score line well to create the card base.
Cut a piece of the Dashing Along DS to 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". Run a piece of the Poppy Parade ribbon around the bottom of the DSP approx. 1/2" up. Secure the ends of the ribbon on the back of the DSP with snail. Cover the back with adhesive and place onto the card front. Add a panel of Whisper white to the inside of the card. Hand tie a bow and adhere this to the centre of the ribbon that is already o the card with a glue dot or two.
Fussy cut three of the stars from the DSP, two small ones and one large one. Sponge the edges of all these stars with Garden Green ink. Mount all of these onto Poppy Parade cardstock and trim closely to show a small edge of the Poppy Parade colour. Place these onto the card front covering the remaining space.
On a scrap of whisper white, stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink, then layer onto coordinating cardstock. Add this to the largest star.
Finally, add some jewel rhinestones, to give the card a little bling.
I thought I would show you a close up of the designs in this paper - how beautiful is this paper??
