Stippled Roses Sending Thanks Card. Monochromatic Insta Hop 2024

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in this week's Monochromatic Insta Hop and our focus colour is Wild Wheat! Being totally honest, I did wonder how a card of pretty much Wild Wheat would look but with using the Stippled Roses stamp set and my blending brushes, I think I've managed to create a lovely thank you card.

What do you think?

Measurements

Wild Wheat Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"

scrap strips approx 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

----------------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Wild Wheat card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Ink up the larger rose cluster in Wild Wheat ink, stamp off and add an image to the top left and bottom right of the remaining piece of Wild Wheat card stock.

On some scraps of Basic White stamp the rose image twice in Wild Wheat ink and run through your Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating die to cut out.

Add these two pieces to the stamped Wild Wheat in the opposite corners to where you stamped (top right and lower left), trying to get as much of the image on as possible over the corner making sure not to show much of the Wild Wheat showing below. There will be a little showing, but try to keep it minimal. Trim any over hanging imagery so that it's all neat and square.

Using a blending brush and some Wild Wheat ink, add a little colour to the edges of this piece, making it a little darker on the Wild Wheat areas, and much lighter along the die cut sides.

Layer this panel to the remaining Basic White piece and add to the centre of the card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White and cut out using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch. Add two strips of Wild Wheat along the two opposite edges. Trim down so that it remains the hexagon shape. Lightly ink the edges of the label where the Wild Wheat is and then pop it onto you card using dimensionals.

I have really surprised myself here, I'm really happy with how my card turned out. If you would like to check out the insta hop click here - https://www.instagram.com/p/C2AZMk0Iv1P/?img_index=1
