Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today I'm taking part in the Technique Squad Blog Hop and our theme is 'Colouring Vellum'. This is a great technique and can be super easy. I've chosen the easiest way of all i think and that is to simply add ink the heat embossed panel with a blending brush. But I have also used heat embossing the 'seal' the black image onto velum, and this can be done with any ink colour - like I say the clear embossing acts as a sealant which is a great way to add colour to vellum.

--------------------------------------
Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.
Ink up the butterfly images in versa mark ink and cover the whole of the vellum piece. Sprinkle with clear embossing folder and heat set with your heat tool.
Now, ink up a blending brush with Memon Mambo ink and simple add ink to the vellum, starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top making the colour lighten as you get further up. Take you time and build up the colour to get the depth and the variation you like, it's best to take a bit more time and go steady otherwise you will find it difficult to get the ombre effect.
Once you are happy with this panel lay it over the remaining piece of Basic white, making sure you have a decent over hang on each side. Fold these edges over and create a crisp fold and secure on the back with a little tape. Add this panel to the card front.
On a scrap of Melon Mambo card stamp the sentiment from Filled with Happiness in Memento ink and cut out using the 2 3/8" circle punch. Cut along the bottom of the sentiment to get a straight edge. Add this to the card front, making sure the cut edge sits flush with the edge of the vellum.
On a scrap of Vellum stamp a butterfly in memento ink and heat set with clear embossing. Fussy cut and adhere above the sentiment with a small dot of glue behind the body.
I really hope you have enjoyed my project today, I really enjoyed creating it. Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop to get lots more inspiration on Colouring Vellum.
