Hello There Card made using the Softly Sophisticated Bundle. Touches of Ink Blog Hop January 2024

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm Blog Hopping with the Fabulous Touches of Ink ladies. It's our first of the year and as always we are encouraged to focus our projects around a bundle or a suite. As we are in Sale-a-bration right now, I thought I would showcase the fabulous FREE Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set and coordinating embossing folder.

I'll be honest I've set myself a little side challenge of using Subtles. I don't often use the subtles colours and even rarer you will find that I've used all Subtles colours on my projects! not  I'm more of a bright & bold creator but I think this colour combo works so well with this set.

What do you think?

----------------------------------------------------

Take the Soft Sea Foam Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Run the remaining piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock through the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder using your Cut & Emboss Machine.

Ink the edges of the embossed panel using Soft Sea Foam ink and a blending brush, concentrating the colour more into the corners.

Add this to the card front.

Using Lost Lagoon ink, stamp the leaf and stem image onto all three pieces of the basic white pieces left. Add Lemon Lolly flowers to one and Fresh Freesia flowers to the other two. Add some Soft Sea Foam ink to the edges very lightly then arrange them onto the card front in a stacked offset way, spanning the whole of the card front.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the Sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink and cut out using the smooth oval from the Double Oval punch, also cut a scallop oval in Soft Sea Foam card stock. Add ink to the edges of both these ovals and then layer together.

Pop this onto the card front in the centre, but towards the left - making sure to cover the awkward 'ends' of the card pieces below.

What do you think? I'm actually really happy with how this turned out maybe I like playing around with the subtles more than i thought?

Please take a minute or two to continue through the hop and check out all the other talented participants. You will not be disappointed. Please pop by to see Katja first.
