Simply Elegant Happy Anniversary Card. Stampin' Dreams Scraps Blog Hop. April 2022

 Good Afternoon Everyone

Today I'm taking part in the Stampin Dreams blog hop and our theme is SCRAPS. One of my faves - I absolutely love creating with scraps. There's something really satisfying about being able to create beautiful things with left overs.

I've used the Simply Elegant Suite today. This is retiring with this annual catalogue, which I am so sad about - I really love this suite!

Simply Elegant DSP

Strips 3/4" wide

fussy cut flower

-------------------------

Take the Basic Gray card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White Card Stock to the inside of the card.

Take the strips of DSP and add them Diagonally across the remaining piece of Basic White card stock. I started with a strip in the middle of the card and worked out towards each end making sure the strips we right up to each other so you don't see any of the card below showing through. Only use a sparing amount of liquid glue, otherwise it may ooze out.

Trim off any overhanging strips so that you are left with a nice rectangular mat. You may need to add a bit of glue to make sure that all the strips are firmly stuck in place. Layer onto the metallic paper and add to the centre of the card front.

Cut out an elegant label in Basic Black card stock and add to the lower left hand corner on a bit of an angle using dimensionals. Add the fussy cut flower into this with a bit of liquid glue.

Finally, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink, trim and layer to a scrap of metallic paper then place this on to the card front.

I hope you like today's card, it's such a simple design, but I think with that gold and copper foiling in the DSP along with the metallic paper - it really makes it something special.

Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop to get lots more scrap busting inspiration.
