Flowering Fields Interlocking Gate Fold Happy Birthday Card. Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop April 2022

 Good Evening Everyone

It's that time again when we have our Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop and we are all sharing Fun Folds today!

I opted for a pretty simple fold in design, because let's face it sometimes we need a quick fun fold! The Interlocking Gate Fold is perfect and give you plenty of opportunity to show off our wonderful DSP, in this case it's the beautiful Flowering Fields DSP.

Measurements

Poppy Parade Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"

3pc - 3 7/8" x 1 5/8"

Pear Pizzazz Card Stock

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scrap

Flowering Fields DSP

2pc - 1 7/8" x 5 5/8"

3pc - 1 1/2" x 3 3/4"

--------------------------------

Take your Poppy Parade card stock and score on the long side at 2 1/16" on one side, then turn it over and score at 2 1/16", so that you have two thinner strip down either side of the length. Fold these both toward the centre of the card stock and these will close together to create the card front. Pop the basic white card stock into the inside back panel of the card.

Layer up the DSP onto the mats of Poppy parade and then arrange then on the card front, trying to evenly space then out so that it all looks central.

Now, you have to concentrate and be careful where you apply your adhesive - if you go too far you will stick the card shut!

Start with the top piece and add adhesive to the back of it, but only on the half that will cover the left hand 'door' - the rest should be free to just sit over the opposite 'door'. Repeat this exact process for the bottom panel. Then with the centre panel add adhesive only to the half that will sit over the right hand 'door'.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink and cut out as a smooth oval, then cut a pear pizzazz scallop oval. Layer these together then add to the centre of the middle panel.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - like I said it's really simple and I can see that this could easily be adapted to any occasion and any style by just switching up the DSP

Please continue through the hop, there will be lots of inspiration for you - next up is Marieke, so click on the button below and see what Fun Fold she has to share with us.
