Good Morning Everyone
Today I'm blog hopping with the talented Stamp n Hop ladies and our theme this month is Masking. It's a really great technique and gives you another way to make your crafting the little bit different.
I decided to keep it simple, and using some Post It Notes (Masking Paper) to mask off sections to stamp within to create some starburst beams of stamping. I've used the smaller flower and leaf elements, along with 1st and 2nd generation stamping to create all the tones. This Technique allows you to get depth and detail, whilst using a single layer of Cardstock too.

-----------------------------------------
Take your Magenta Madness card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the basic white pieces to the inside.
On the remaining piece of basic white, use a large post it note or masking tape to mask off a section of the card. I wanted to create a sort of random starburst effect so I chose to create long angled lines, but you could do your lines however you wish.
Now, using the flower and leaf images from the Hello Beautiful Stamp set, fill in the space between the masking, making sure that you ink over the lines onto the masking paper so that you create a sharp edge to the stamping once the masking paper or post it not it removed. Once the area has been filled, move around the card stock to complete the design.
Once the desired look is complete, adhere this panel to the card front.
On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiment from Pansy Patch in Misty Moonlight ink, the using the Beautiful Shape Dies and your Mini Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out in the right sized hexagon, also cutting the next size up in Misty Moonlight. Adhere these two together then add to the card front
Add a few of the Adhesive backed hexagons to the sentiment piece.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please continue through the hop and get some more inspiration of the Masking Technique. Heather Forgan is up next, click on the next button to head on over to her blog to find out how she has used the technique today - it's going to be good!!!!
