Good Morning Everyone
Happy Monday. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend? We have been a household full of snotty noses and chesty coughs, so we haven't done a great deal - thankfully we seem to be seeing the back of it, so that's all good!
As it's Monday, my project for you is my Creative Colour Challenges entry. Now, this week's combo just shouted Masculine at me but I wanted to add a little twist - and let's be honest Men like Nature too so this is the card I came up with. That being said - this card would be perfect for anyone, really! It's pretty simple in design, but that almost 3D Dragonfly really does steal the show! what do you think?

------------------
Take the Merry Merlot Card Stock and fold along the score line, adding the largest piece of Basic White to the inside. Adhere the Night of Navy DSP panel to the centre of the card front.
On the remaining piece of Basic White Stamp the sentiment in the top right hand corner. I used Merry Merlot for Happy and Night of Navy for the Birthday. Now ink up the tall floral stamp in Smoky Slate and fill in some of the white space around the sentiment. Take your Smoky Slate Blends and colour in the flowers. Add this panel to the card front, but have the right hand edge flush with the DSP below, it just adds a slightly different look.
Take your scraps of DSP and punch out some of the larger dragonfly shapes, stamping a smoky slate dragonfly onto one of them. I cut 8 in total. Layer all these up one on top of the other making sure the stamped one sits at the top. Only ad adhesive down the body of the dragonfly, otherwise you won't be able to open up the wings. Once the glue is dry, separate all the layers to create a 3D Form. Add this to the card front.
Cut out two smaller dragonflies, one in Merry Merlot and one in Night of navy and add these to the card front as well.
So, what do you think? I think it looks great, and would work really well with a lot of other colour combinations as well.
