Good Afternoon Everyone
Today I'm blog hopping with the Technique Squad and our theme is Paper Piecing. I love this Technique and there's two ways to do it.
One way is to use patterned paper to add detail to an otherwise outlined image, a man's shirt, or a ladies Skirt for instance. It's simple and can really transform and personalise a project.
The second is to actually piece together elements from a die cut to create a solid embellishment of colours etc.
I chose the second option and there was no doubt in my mind that I need to use these fabulous Batik Dies. How intricate and awesome is that centrepiece. A real Show stopper - and of course, I felt the need to showcase our upcoming New In Colours.

--------------------------------------------
Take your Sweet Sorbet and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger basic white piece to the inside.
On the Remaining piece of basic white stamp the sentiments in Starry Sky, leaving plenty of room in the centre.
Cut out the intricate die shape in all 5 of the colours and keep then all together, all the pieces. Then one solid piece in the Orchid Oasis.
Layer up the larger outline in Orchid Oasis to the solid piece of the same colour, then taking all the smaller elements add to your embellishment creating a nice coloured pattern.
It's a little bit like a jigsaw, just piece all of the bits where they fit.
Add this to the centre of the card, in between your sentiments.
Job Done, really simple and effective, what do you think?
I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please continue through the hop.Take a look at what JoAnn has created
