Flower & Field Happy Birthday Double Flap Fold Card. Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop Jan 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Happy New Year, I Hope you are all well and have had a great Christmas, and are ready to take on a brand new year.

To Kick off 2021, I'm joining in with the talented Crafty Collaborations Group to share with you some amazing Sale-a-Bration inspired Projects.

I decided to choose the Flower & Field DSP as I think it's so pretty, and with this Double Flap Fold I was able to show off several of the pretty patterns. I got the measurements from my dear friend Karen at Crafty Karen Designs.

Measurements

Basic Black Cardstock

1pc - 11 3/4" x 5 7/8"

1pc - 1 1/8" x 2 1/4"

1px - 1" x 11 3/4"

Whisper White Cardstock

1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 1" x 2 1/8"

Flirty Flamingo Cardstock

1pc - 2 3/8" x 1 1/2"

Flower & Field DSP

2pc - 3 1/4" x 5 3/4"

2pc - 1 1/2" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 2 3/8" x 5 3/4"

These pieces can be all the same design, or different - it's entirely up to you.

Take your largest piece of Basic Black cardstock and score on the long side at  2 1/2", 5 7/8" & 10".  Fold the card along the centre score line as you would to make a standard card base, then fold the top score line towards the left, and then the bottom score line towards the left. this will give you those two flaps/folds.

Now simply add your DSP panels to the card as below.

Fold the card up and wrap around the 1" strip of basic black your card and secure with a little liquid glue at the front. Trim off the excess cardstock. Make sure that the belly band is loose enough to move on and off your card, but tight enough to stay put when closed.

On the smaller piece of Whisper White stamp the sentiment from Approaching Perfection ( a FREE SAB Stamp Set) in Just Jade ink, then layer onto the remaining black and flirty flamingo cardstock. Adhere this to the belly band, ensuring the the join of the cardstock is covered.
