Peony Garden Happy Birthday Double Drape Card. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone

It's Sunday Again folks - so yes that means we have another Share it on a Sunday project for you. this week we are CASEing each other - and I am CASEing Karen - It was hard to chose if i'm honest, but when I saw this card I thought I would give it a go as I have never tried it before.

This is the card I am CASEing

Measurements

So Saffron Cardstock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Peony Garden DSP
1pc - 10" x 3"

1pc - fussy cut Peony

Fold the so saffron cardstock along the score line to create your card base - add one of the whisper white panels to the inside.

Take the Peony Garden DSP and score at 1", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3", 4", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 6", 7", 7 1/2", 8 1/2", 9".

Find the 4 1/2" score line and line this up in your trimmer in the groove, and angle the left hand edge to the 1 1/2" mark, the trim the diagonal line - like this

Find the 6" score line, flip the paper over and repeat the same process, like so.

You should end up with DSP that looks like this..

Concertina fold from the centre out to each edge, so you create the double drape feature.

Hold the paper in its shape and add tear and tape to the back of the DSP.  Then add this to the remaining piece of whisper white card stock, lining up the straight edge at the bottom of the DSP with the bottom of the cardstock.

Now, run a length of ribbon across to top of the DSP and secure the ends to the back of the whisper white piece.

Stamp the happy birthday sentiment from Rustic Retreat into the top right hand corner and add some leaves from Heart to Heart just above the ribbon ( I placed a piece of copier paper over the ribbon just to make sure I didn't get ink where it shouldn't be.

Add this panel to the card front, then place the fussy cut Peony on dimensionals over the leaves.

Please pop over and see what Donna and Karen have both chosen the CASE today.
