Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you are well - It's Sunday again - Is it just me or has this week just flown?
Today, for our Share it on a Sunday series the theme is Christmas Gift Box. I loved this as soon as it was put forward and I decided to make a thin necklace gift box with an insert to hold the necklace pretty and straight - perfect presentation!!
Measurements
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
1pc - 7 1/2" x 7 1/2"
1pc - 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Brightly Gleaming DSP
1pc - 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Night of Navy Cardstock
1pc - scrap for the sentiment
Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - scrap for the sentiment
Take the larger piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock and score as follows:-
1st side - 1/2", 1" & 7"
2nd side - 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" & 7"
Fold and burnish all the score lines, trim away at the cardstock so you are left with a piece of card that looks like this
Now, add the brightly gleaming DSP to the panel as shown, and then add a small thumb notch.
Add tear and tape all the thin tan and fold around and share to the opposite side. At the bottom fold in the tabs , back and then adhere down the front to create the base.
Cut a small shape in very vanilla is It the stitched Nested dies and then stamp the sentiment onto it in Night if navy ink. Grimm this down to remove the stitched edging to make it slightly smaller. Layer onto some night of Navy Cardstock and trim down to the same shape. Add this to the box using dimensional.
Take the remaining piece of mossy meadow and round all four corners. Add two holes to the top approx 1 1/2" down. Then cut a line from the corner to the hole on each side. This will give you a really nice way to give a necklace gift.
