Perennial Essence Delightful Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,.

I hope you are well and are having a fab weekend... I don't know about you but we had a glorious day yesterday and the sun has made an appearance today, although we have had a bit of cloud cover.

But before I crack on with making the tea, I wanted to share this card with you.  I know there's always a lot of chatter about scraps and what to save and what to get rid of, I have a little box in the corner of my desk and I pop all my scraps in there. I will dip into it when I'm creating, then I will have a purge once a week and try to use them all up.

So here is the card I made with a few bits of scraps of the beautiful Perennial Essence DSP.

Measurements

Calypso Coral Cardstock
1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper
1pc - 3" x 3 3/4"
1pc - 2" x 2 1/4"
1pc - 1 3/4" x 2 1/4"
( you can have a play around with the sizes dependant on the scrap sizes you have)

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Scrap of So Saffron Cardstock

This card is so easy to put together, it really is.

Create your card base from the calypso coral and add the whisper white panel to the inside.

Arrange the DSP to the card front. I used liquid glue as you have a few seconds to move it before it dries.. this will help get all the pieces lined up with equal borders.

Stamp the sentiment onto a the second largest stitched shape dies and colour in the decoration with the blackberry bliss marker. Add this to the centre of the largest circle die cut from so saffron cardstock. Place this onto the card front to cover corners of all three DSP panels.

Thanks for taking a nosey at my card today... I hope I have inspired you to take a closer look at the possibilities you have with your scraps

See a Silhouette You are the Best Gift Box

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I hope you are all well and ready for an exciting weekend. The sun is due out so I intend on making the most of it - you never know how long its going to last do you!!!

Today, I have this cute little gift box, which I think would work well for a masculine gift.. i don't know about you, but I find it hard to create boxes and cards for the Men in my life. The See a Silhouette paper is perfect....

Measurements

Night of Navy Cardstock
1pc - 6" x 7"

See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper
1pc - 1 5/8" x 7/8"
2pc - 4 3/8" x 1 5/8"
2pc - 4 3/8" x 7/8"

First put the cardstock into your simply scored and on the long side score at 5 1/2" and 6 1/2", the on the short side at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4" and 5 1/2". Fold and burnish all the score lines using a bone folder and then cut away to create your tab on the right hand side from the skinniest rectangle. Cut up all the score lines along the bottom and notch slightly into the squares. Remove the full length of the skinny scored section at the top, leaving just the last section the right amd round the corners. Then take away the second rectangle in from the left fully then shorten the remaining squares and notch in slightly.

Now for the DSP. Take a piece that measure 4 3/8", then cut the panels out in order.... small, large, small then large. This will help you get the wraparound effect and all your patterns will match up. Add these to the cardstock then build your box. Add a th7mb notch to the large panel which doesn't have a flap.

Run tear and tape along the tab and adhere to the opposite aide, fold in the flaps and the bottom and adhere the front flap down to create your base.

Cut the second smallest oval fromt he stitched shape dies in whisper white, then stamp the sentiment. Add this to the fro t of the box wirh dimensionals.

Pop of Petals Sorry for your Loss Greetings Card

Hello,

It's Friday! Yey, so glad we got here! It doesnt mean much to me as I'm on Maternity leave and sometimes I have no idea what day it is.. but it means Dave's off for two days... yipppeee.

Unfortunately today's card is one which no-one likes to make, but they are necessary. It's very simple by design, because sometimes simple is the best way to go.....

Create a card base out of soft suede cardstock that measures 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8". Stamp the leaf image in soft suede ink over the card front. Then using the edge of your paper snips, rub along rhe edges to 'rough' the edges to take away the straight clean lines.

Take a piece of mint macaron cardstock and carefully tear along the edges. Cover this panels with a flower in mint macaron ink then sponge the edges.

Tear a piece of very vanilla in the same way as above and sponge the edges with soft suede. Stamp the sentiment in the centre and layer both panels onto the card front.

On a scrap stamp the butterfly, colour with blends and then cut out with the four petal flower punch. Using your marker just colour the antennae of the butterfly and stamp onto the mint macaron, then add the butterfly with a dimensional.

Finally tear a piece of very vanilla panel for the inside of the card.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to be taken to my online shop...

Mosaic Mood Speciality Wedding Gift Bag

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well. My sister asked me to create a gift bag for her to give a gift at wedding, the twist was that it was to be Non Traditional and a little different, so this is what I can up with...

Take a piece of Mosaic Mood Speciality designer series paper that measures 6"x12". Score fully on the long side at 1 1/2", 5 3/4", 7 1/4" and 11 1/2". Then go back and put part score lines in at 3/4" and 6 1/2" down approx 3". Turn the paper and score on the short side at 4 1/2".

Fold and burnish all the score lines using a bone folder, then with your snips cut up all the bottom vertical score lines to the horizontal score line, the notch slightly into the squares. Cut away the skinny rectangle that sits in the lower right. Finally notch the skinny tab you created on the right. See below:-

Run adhesive along the tab and fold round and stick to the opposite end. Fold in the two flaps at the bottom, then the back and adhere down the front to create the base.

Fussy cut some of the images from the DSP that match the images on the front of your bag and adhere these with dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of very vanilla and then tuck it under the 3d images.

Finally pinch in the top, the part score lines will help this close clean and neat. Wrap some of the mint macaron twine from the natures twine bundle and secure closed with a bow.
