Gift Wrapped Plaid Tidings Pizza Style Gift Box. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone,

It's a wet and miserable Sunday here today in Huddersfield, which actually is a bit of a relief - we have had such glorious weather over the last week or so, that we really needed a good downpour to cool us down and give the garden a really good water!! haha.

As you all no, Sunday is the day when Donna, Karen and Myself get together and challenge each other to create around the same theme. This week we are creating Treat Boxes.  Here's my box.

I kind of feel I have cheated a little, but these pre cut and scored Pizza Boxes are amazing, and a great way to create something really special quickly, and it's easy to bulk make if you have a lot to give!

Measurements

Plaid Tidings DSP

4pc - 7/8" x 3 3/8"

Whisper White Cardstock

scraps for the bow and sentiment

Shaded Spruce Cardstock

Scrap for the sentiment

Take the Pizza box and build it up, I like to burnish the folds to give a nice crisp closure.

Working with the 3 3/8" square piece of DSP, run two lines of ribbon over it to create a cross shape, making them cross over towards the top. I used glue dots to secure to down and then I carefully trimmed the edges so they were flush with the DSP. Add the to the lid of the pizza box, making sure the crossover of ribbon is at the top.

Take the remaining strips of DSP and add these to the sides of the box.

Take a strip of whisper white and round the corners of one side with the detail trio punch, then stamp the sentiment in shaded spruce. Cut a piece of shaded spruce cardstock slightly wider than the whisper white and layer together. trim off the ends just after the sentiment. Now, using a small punch, or I used a craft knife, create a small hole on the rounded edge and thread through some ribbon. I used some bakers twine that I had in my stash - as the hole isn't very big. add a glue dot to the top of the ribbon on your pizza box and stick the bakers twine to it - trim off any over hanging pieces.

On another scrap of whisper white, stamp the bow in memento and once dry, colour the edges in using your Pretty Peacock Stampin Write marker. Add a very generous coating of wink of stella to the centre strips then cut out using the co ordinating punch. Add dimensionals to the back of the bow and place on the top of the box over the ribbon and make sure you cover over to tops of that bakers twine.

It's super simple and quick to create, and as I said before great to batch make. You can easily switch up the DSP and colours to create something ideal for your recipient.

Please do head over and see what Donna and Karen have made too...

In Good Taste Happy Birthday, It's Your Day Card. #33sketches no11

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are well and enjoying yourself this week.

Today I have another sketch for you in the #33sketches challenge. This is number 11, already I know!!

I really enjoyed this one and there's so many possibilities with this one. I chose to create a more masculine feel to my card, using the In Good Taste DSP and a good splash of Night of Navy.

This is the sketch I followed, from cardztv.blogspot.com

Measurements

Night of Navy Cardstock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 3"

In Good Taste Designer Series Paper

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" - cut on the diagonal to create two triangles

Create your card base by folding the Night of Navy cardstock along the score line, add the whisper white panel to the inside and the DSP to the card front.

Take the two triangles you cut and place them in opposite corners, making sure you have even spacing around them.

One the remaining piece of whisper white, stamp the sentiments from Many Mates, I chose three which I thought worked well together and also filled up the space nicely.

Take your Night of Navy Blends and  carefully colour in all the letters that are outlines.

Add this piece to the remaining Night of Navy cardstock and add to the card front. Making sure to overlap the triangles ever so slightly.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store.

Basket of Blooms Birthday Wishes Card

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are well. The sunshine seems to have disappeared today, it's much cooler - which means I might actually get something done today, rather than just chill out in the garden haha.

Although the sunshine has gone, it's very much still here on my card for today.

Using the Basket of Blooms stamp set and some nice bright colours, I've created a fab Birthday Card.

Measurements

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 3/4" x 4 3/8"

Take your Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and fold along the score line, at the largest piece of whisper white to the front. Next, close the card, and start a border around the card front edge in pumpkin pie ink, alternating the to smaller flowers.

On scraps of whisper white stamp out the flower pot, adding the bow to it too. Then also stamp out 5 of the flowers. Do this in memento black ink.

Once the ink has dried colour the flower pot in with Pumpkin Pie Blends and the flowers in Poppy Parade blends. Fussy cut all these out.

Next Add the sentiment to the top of the remaining piece of whisper white and add two of the leaves images below in memento, making sure you don't do too low as you need to fit the plant pot onto it. Once the memento has dried, colour the leaves with Old Olive Blends. Add this panel to the card front to sit inside the floral border you stamped earlier.

Now add dimensionals to the flower pot and cover up the stems of the leaves, add dot about the flowers in amongst the leaves.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in my card, click on the images to head over to my online store.

Flowers for Every Season Get Well Soon Card. #33sketches no10

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

We are have another glorious day here in Huddersfield, I hope you all have some Sunshine too.

Today I have no10 in my #33sketches challenge.  I loved putting this one together as I adore the colours in this Paper Pack.

Here's the sketch I followed, from cardztv.blopgspot.com

Measurements

Misty Moonlight Cardstock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - scrap for the larger circle

Magenta Madness

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Whisper White Cardsctock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap for the smaller circle

Flowers for Every Season DSP

4pc - 1 3/4" x 2 1/2"

Fold the Misty Moonlight along the score line to create your card base, then add the whisper white to the inside and the magenta madness to the card front. Add the 4 pieces of DSP to the top of the Magenta Madness - I used liquid glue for this to give me a little time to make sure they all lined up.

Using the Circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies, cut a large one from Misty Moonlight and a smaller one from Whisper White.

On the Whisper white one, stamp the Get Well Soon towards the top in Misty Moonlight, and the Better yet? in Magenta Madness towards the bottom - both these sentiments are from Many Mates.

Taking one of each of the in colours add a line of the enamel dots in between the two stamped sentiments. Layer this circle to the misty moonlight one and add the the centre of the card front with dimensionals.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in my card, click on the images to head over to my online store.
