Vintage Inspired Modern Garden It's Your Birthday Card. Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC115

Today I'm sharing the card I've made for this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo - which is so pretty. We have Boho Blue, Moody Mauve and Crumb Cake. I immediately thought of doing a vintage inspired card, with the sponged edges and 'old' look.

Measurements

Crumb Cake Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Very Vanilla Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Take the Crumb Cake Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Using a blending brush add some Crumb Cake ink to all the edges. Do the same around the edges of one of the Very Vanilla card stock and add this to the inside of the card.

On the remaining piece of Very Vanilla add a selection of flowers, leaves and the dots image in a combination of all the colours. Once you are happy with the layout add ink to the edges with the blending brush and Crumb Cake ink as before. Adhere this to the card front.

Also stamp three flowers onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and fussy cut.

On another piece of scrap stamp the sentiment in Moody Mauve and cut out using the Modern Oval Punch, making sure the sentiment is off to the right. Add ink again around the edges.

Using dimensionals add the fussy cut flowers and the sentiment onto the card front.

Finish with three Blooming Pearls!

I loved working with this colour combination and I'm certain I will be using it again in the future.
