Good Evening Everyone,
Today I'm blog hopping with the Touches of Ink Blog Hop ladies and I won't lie, this is a project I have made before, once or twice, but I had a birthday coming up when I planned this project and I knew it would be perfect to showcase here.
We have several older kids in the family, who are at the age now where it's tricky to buy something and them actually appreciate it - not that they are ungrateful, but it's not quite what they were wanting if you know what I mean
This project serves as a card and a gift card holder or money wallet, so it looks super pretty and serves a great purpose!
The Touches of Ink Blog Hop doesn't have a set theme, but we are encouraged to use a suite or a bundle from the catalogues. I chose the Handmade Hugs Stamp and coordinating punch, and as this does not have coordinating DSP, I chose to use Masterfully Made.

--------------------------------
Take the Berry Burst card stock and score on the long side at 1" and 4 1/8".
On the basic white piece, stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock into the centre of the card.
Adhere all the DSP to the card base as follows..
Hold the card 'open' add tear and tape to the top and bottom to the skinny rectangular panel to the left (as above) the fold over so it creates a pocket. Fold the card closed.
Stamp the Azure Afternoon Strip with the detailed image in Azure Afternoon ink then wrap the strip around the card and over lap it slightly at the front to create a belly band. Make sure that the band is relatively tight, but loose enough to slide on and off simply. Once the glue has dried, trim off any excess card over the centre.
Using your Handmade Hugs Punch cut two shapes in Night of Navy and one in Basic White. Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic white piece and add the decorative border.
Take the Night of Navy punch outs and cut in half. Layer these behind the sentiment piece to create a border. You may need to trim off any overhanging pieces so that the border looks neat and even... see below
Layer up the remaining piece of DSP and Night of Navy card stock and add the sentiment piece into the centre.
Add a couple of dimensionals onto belly band in the centre and then adhere the sentiment panel to it.
It's a really simple design but makes a really pretty and fancier way to give a gift card.
I hope you liked today's project. Please do continue through the Hop and see the creations made by these wonderfully talented ladies, and see what everyone else has created Liane is up next.
