Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all well.
Today I'm revisiting a fabulous technique which is really easy and looks fabulous.
The Triple Layer stamping technique is just as it sounds - you stamp over three layers to create your background, slotting in some solid coloured mats behind each layer helps to cover any miss stamping between the layers and frames each layer making it stand out.
Measurements
Basic Black Cardstock
1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8", scored at 4 1/8"
1pc - 3 1/8" x 4 3/4"
1pc - 2 1/8" x 3 3/4"
1pc - scrap
Basic White Cardstock
2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 1/2"
1pc - 2 7/8" x 4 1/2"
1pc - 1 7/8" x 3 1/2"
1pc - scrap

Take the largest piece of Basic Black and fold along the score line. Add one of the larger pieces of whisper white to the inside.
Take the rest of the whisper white pieces and layer on top of each other. Use a low tack or removable adhesive, or add a small amount if seal then tap it on your clothes or arm to remove some of the sticky.
Ink up the flowers and leaf image and cover the whole piece, making sure you stamp over all three layers. Don't worry, it is normal that that ink will 'miss' close to the next layers but this will be covered by the cardstock layers. I used Sweet Sorbet for the larger flower, Orchid Oasis for the smaller flower and Lost Lagoon for the leaves.
This stamp set is great as you get an outline image and then a solid stamp to 'colour' them in. I used first generation stamping for the outlines, then 2nd Generation (stamping off onto scrap paper first). This helps give two tones of the same colour.
Now gently take the layers apart, making sure you pay attention to which way round they belong as you want the images to continue across all three layers.
Take each piece of Basic White and layer it against the Basic Black mats and then add to the card front.
On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink and cut out using the smooth Ova from the Double Oval Punch - also cut out a scallop oval in basic Black.
Layer these two together and add into the centre of the card.
Finally colour in a few of the Basic Rhinestones with your Sweet Sorbet Stampin Blends and add to the sentiment piece.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today, I absolutely love this technique, it's not overly difficult but can give some amazing finishes to your card.
