Masterfully Made Charming Sentiments Just For You Gift Box. InspireINK blog hop July 2023

  Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Inspire Ink Ladies and our theme is 3D!

I've created a very simple gift box, one I've created many times before - It's a great size and that front panel is a lovley size to show off some pretty paper!

The Masterfully Made DSP is fabulous, the colours are bold and it has that ripped paper feel and just feels very creative.

This simple box measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1", so it's a great size to gift all sorts of treats in. I used the Charming Sentiments stamp set and a 'just for You' Sentiment so this can be given for any reason.

Measurements

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc - 9 1/2" x 6 1/2"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - scrap

Masterfully Made DSP

1pc - 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"

3pc - 3 3/8" x 7/8"

---------------------------------------

Now to create the gift box. Take you piece of Basic Black Cardstock and score as follows:-
Long Side - 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2" & 9"
Short Side - 1", 4 1/2" & 5 1/2"

Fold along all the score lines and burnish well.

You need to start cutting away at the card to create the flaps and remove some sections. Have the cardstock in front of you with the skinny sections to the right

  • Remove the first three sections along to top line from the left and the thin one on the end, then notch in slightly on the remaining large rectangle
  • On the next row down, cut down all the score lines to the next horizontal. remove the small rectangle one on the right hand side completely. Trim off a small piece of card from the top of the two squares and notch slightly. Remove the large rectangle in between these squares completely.
  • cut up all the score lines along the bottom of the card to the first horizontal, and remove the rectangle on the right completely.
You will be left with a shape like this.

Flip it over and then take the DSP pieces and add to the card stock, like this

Add tear and tape to the under side of  the skinny rectangular tab on the right hand side ( it's a bit too wide so you may need to trim it or just fold it over on itself) and fold it round and adhere to the opposite side. at the bottom, fold in the sides, back and then adhere the front panel down to create your base.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink them cut out using to smooth oval from the Double Oval Punch - also cut a scalloped oval in might of navy card. Layer these together then add to the front of your box.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today - I loved playing with this beautiful paper! Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop and check out what all my other crafty friends have created.
