Good Evening Everyone
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a great week so far!
Today I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Touches of Ink ladies. As always, we have not set theme but are encouraged to create around a Suite or Bundle. I've chosen to create a really lovely, and easy Collar fold card with the Hues of Happiness Suite - which will sadly retire at the end of this month. As soon as I saw it, i knew I needed it and have used it so much when creating, and I will be sad to see it go.
Anyway, I digress - The collar fold require a little measuring, but other than that it's soooo easy and gives you the opportunity to show off a few designs of DSP.
Measurements
Measurements
Night of Navy Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
Basic White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
scrap
Hues of Happiness DSP
2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
3 fussy cut flowers
-------------------------------------------
Fold the Night of Navy card stock along the score line to create your card base - stamp the sentiment into the centre of the basic white panel and add to the inside.
Take the piece of Hues of Happiness DSP that you want to be your 'top' piece and find the centre point on the longest length - I just folded it over lightly and made a tiny pinch where it was but you could measure in out. Place this DSP into your trimmer and line up the notch into the track and cut into it approx 1 1/4". Rotate your DSP now and line up the top corner to the inside edge of the cut and score a diagonal line. Repeat this process for the bottom edge as well. so it should look like this
Now very carefully fold along these score lines so that you are folding the DSP towards the centre. You will create a piece like so...
Take this piece of DSP and adhere it down on top of the other piece you have, making sure that the top, bottom and left edges all line up. Add this to the card front.
Fussy cut three of the large flowers from the DSP and arrange them done the left hand side. I stuck the top and bottom ones down with liquid glue then added the middle one with some dimensionals.
Finally stamp the sentiments in Night of Navy ink onto some scrap basic White and fussy cut. Add these to the card front with some dimensional.
I hope you enjoyed my card today - I absolutely loved how it turned out. Please continue through to hop to get lots more inspiration from these talented ladies. Sabine is up next - please go over and say Hi.
