Good Morning Everyone
Today I'm sharing a fabulous and easy way to use your scraps. It's simple to do and can work with any paper to create some really lovely backgrounds.
I have used the Country Floral Lane DSP, the Layering Circles Dies and the Pansy Patch Stamp set, oh a a sprinkling of those cute pastel sequins - so minimal supplies for maximum results.
I sat and batch made a bunch of these with the scraps I had, but I'll show you two of the different colourways I used.

scrap strips which can vary in width

Take the card stock and fold along the score line to create you card bases. Add the larger pieces of Basic White to the inside.
With the strips and the remaining pieces of Basic White, start to create your background panel. Add some glue to the back of a strip of DSP and lay it diagonally across the Basic White piece. Keep adding strips of the DSP edging them up as close as you can to each other until the full piece of card is covered. Once dry trim off any over hanging strips.
Take one last strip and run this about an inch up from the bottom horizontally across the panel. again, trim if necessary.
Bring in your Mini Cut & Emboss Machine and using your Layering Circe Dies, cut out two white circles and two scallop circles (one in Balmy Blue & one in Mint Macaron). I used a scallop a few sizes larger so that I got a thick border showing.
Stamp the sentiments in Sweet Sorbet ink into the centre of the Basic White Circles, they Layer onto the scalloped circles.
On scraps on Basic White stamp the Happy Birthday and fussy cut.
Add the circles and the fussy cut sentiments around the horizontal strip of DSP and then add a few of the adhesive back pastel sequins.
I hope you enjoyed my cards today, and they have given you a idea on how to use up some of those scraps.
