Hues of Happiness Charming Sentiments Birthday Card. I see Yellow Challenge.

 Good Afternoon Everyone

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a month long challenge over on Instagram by the lovely Trish Solman & Rebecca Nutley called #30daycrazyfarewellchange. Every day in April there's a different theme to follow. You can do them as and when you like, but I'll be honest I haven't managed as many as I would like, but I'm trying to get as many done as I can! haha.

So Day 15 was 'I see Yellow' so this is what I made.

As soon as I saw this challenge I knew I'd need to do something with the Hues of Happiness DSP - the Flowers are so pretty and of course yellow - so it was the obvious choice for me!

Measurements

Daffodil Delight Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"

1pc - scrap

Hues of Happiness DSP

1pc - 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Yellow Fussy Cut Flowers

---------------------------------------------

Take the Daffodil Delight Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Add the thin strip of DSP to the right hand side of the remaining piece of Basic White, layer this to the Basic Black card and add to the centre of the card front.

Arrange the fussy cut flowers on the card front, using liquid glue and dimensionals to give different heights.

Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink onto a scrap of Basic White, trim and layer into a piece of Basic Black card.

Trim to leave a nice even border then add to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I really enjoyed making it - Its a simple sketch which can help you make some stunning cards. Please do pop over to Instagram if you have it and check out both Trish & Rebecca's pages. They are both incredible crafters and I'm sure you will take away lots of Inspiration from them. You can check out the challenges, and maybe you will join in too.

Framed Florets Birthday Wishes Card. Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. Retiring Faves April 2023

 Good Evening Everyone

I hope you are all having a fabulous Weekend so far?

Today I'm blog hopping with Stamping with Friends Ladies and our focus for this hop is Retiring Products.

As you may - or may not know (where have you been if you haven't - Haha) the current annual catalogue and Mini catalogue are due to end soon, and as much as that means exciting new products - we do have to say goodbye to some too, so its our chance to showcase a bunch of retiring things for you today.

I've chosen the Framed Florets Bundle, which I'm going to miss Massively. I loved it as soon as it came out and I have used it so much, it's such a versatile set.

The card design is pretty simple, but the negative coloured background adds interest behind those gorgeous die cut frames and that Pop of colour from the raised flower really makes it special

Measurements

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Scraps

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

scrap

--------------------------------------------------

Take one piece of the Basic white and cover with the little floral image to create you background. Once dry, colour all the "negative" space - all the areas except the flowers and leaves using your dark Pool Party Stampin Blends.

Then, take the same image and stamp once in the bottom right of the remaining piece of Basic White, now colour the flower and leaves in using your Shaded Spruce and Sweet Sorbet Stampin Blends.

Also, stamp this image once onto a scrap and colour as above. Cut out either by hand or using the coordinating die.

Fold the Night of Navy Card Stock along the score line and burnish to create your card base. Add the negative coloured piece to the card front and the other to the inside.

Bring in your Cut & Emboss Machine and using some Night of Navy Card Stock, cut out the larger ornate frame and also the small oval frame. Pop the thin lined frame piece to one side for another project as it's not needed for this one.

Add adhesive to the back of the large ornate frame and the coordinating oval and add to the centre of the card front.

On the smaller oval, stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat set with White embossing powder. Add dimensionals to the back and place into the centre of the ornate frame.

Figure out the positioning of the coloured floral cluster and add dimensionals to where it sits on the larger oval, and a little bit of liquid glue where it is over the raised oval.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop for lots more inspiration

Butterfly Kisses Fragrant Flowers Thank You Card.

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a card I made for a month long challenge over on Instagram by the lovely Trish Solman & Rebecca Nutley called #30daycrazyfarewellchange. Every day in April there's a different theme to follow. You can do them as and when you like, but I'll be honest I haven't managed as many as I would like, so I must pull my finger out! haha.

So Day 14 was a sketch so this is what I made.

I used the Butterfly Kisses DSP and as these prints are quite busy, I felt I just needed a very simple sentiment - which is from Fragrant flowers

Measurements

Parakeet Party Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 5 1/8" x 3 1/8"

scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scrap

Starry Sky Card Stock

scrap

Butterfly Kisses DSP

1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 3" x 5"

1pc - 1/4" x 5 5/8"

---------------------------------------------

Take the Parakeet Party card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the 1/4" strip of DSP to the edge of the Basic White card and pop this on the inside of the card. Also, add the larger piece of DSP to the card front.

Adhere the Parakeet Party card and the DSP onto the card front, offsetting both pieces, so you can see some of the Parakeet Party underneath the DSP.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the Thanks sentiment from Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Starry Sky, Trim down, cutting a straight edge to the right, and an angle to the left. Layer this to some Starry Sky card and trim so that you have a nice coloured strip either side, then layer onto Parakeet Party card and trim again.

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store. The DSP and Stamp set are both on the retiring list, so make sure you pick them up whilst you can.
