Botanical Layers Thank You Card. The Project Share Project Blog Hop. February 2024

 Good Morning Everyone.

Happy Saturday and as it;s the first Saturday of a new month we have our Project Share Blog Hop. The theme for this hop is 'Inspired by Nature'.

I've been using quite a lot of floral images recently, so for this theme I decided to go with a lot of leaves and some earthy tones! The Botanical Layers stamp set was perfect, and the Bough punch helped add some extra detail.

What do you think?

------------------------------------------------------

Take the Pecan Pie Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

Using the 2" circle punch cut out a circle of Basic White. Position this in the centre of the remaining piece of card stock and adhere down with a tiny bit of seal. I take my finger over it a bit once its down to remove some of the 'stick' and you will want to remove the circle once you have stamped. There is repositionable and temporary adhesive you can get, but this method works fine for me.

Once the circle is in place, ink up leaf images from Botanical Layers and go around the circle in the different colours. I used Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Copper Clay and Pecan Pie along with first and 2nd Generation stamping (stamping off) to get a variety for shades.

When you are happy with the pattern remove the circle in the centre and discard.

Cut out a circle in Pecan Pie Using the 2 3/8" circle punch and one in Basic white using the 2" punch. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink in the centre of the Basic White circle. Layer these two together and add to the centre of the card covering up the stamped edges.

Punch of some of the sprigs using your Bough punch and some scraps of Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Copper Clay & Pecan Pie, then add a few around the circle, tucking the ends under the centre panel.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop to get lots more inspiration Inspired By Nature.
