Enduring Beauty Happy Birthday Card Monochromatic Insta Hop - Sweet Sorbet

 Good Morning Everyone.

I'm a little late sharing this project. Our house has been taken down by the dreaded lurgy for about a week and I've just not been able to do everything I needed to do. This card did go live on Friday over on my instagram, but I had a few people message me about the process, so here's a quick tutorial

Measurements

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White card stock

2pc - large scraps for the image

1pc - scrap for the sentiment

--------------------------------------------

Take the Thick Basic White card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, then pop to one side.

Ink up the large floral image from Enduring Beauty and stamp on both of the Basic White pieces.  Take one of the images and run through you Cut & Emboss machine with the coordinating die. Whilst you have the machine handy cut out the label using a scrap of basic white.

Using your Sweet Sorbet Stampin Blends colour in all the flowers on the remaining piece. Then very carefully fussy cut out all the flower heads, making sure you cut them very close to the lines.

Now, add all the coloured heads to the black and white image, laying the flowers directly over the same flower below. I found this way the best way to ensure you had crisp edges to the flowers, the blends can bleed a little, so by colouring a separate image and overlaying then, you remove that possibility.

Bring back the card base and using your Sweet Sorbet ink and a blending brush, lightly add colour to the centre of the card front. Keep placing your floral panel onto the card front to make sure that the colour will be seen when the image is stuck down.

Stamp the sentiment from Bold Bouquet into the centre of the label you cut earlier, and add a very light colouring of Sweet Sorbet to the edges using a blending brush.

Pop some dimensionals onto the back of the sentiment and the flower image and arrange into the centre of the card front.

I absolutely love this bold pop of colour against the black and white. It looks fabulous in Sweet Sorbet, but I reckon it would work with so many of our other colours - why not give it a try?

Please take a few minute to head over to Instagram and check out the rest of the Hop - there's quite a few of us who have all created with Sweet Sorbet, so it;s a great place to get lots and lots of inspiration, - My Instagram Page
