So, how's your weekend going so far... we have had a lovely adult with Imogen being away... missed her like mad but she's had a fab time at my mums so its all good.
Today I have used a brand new bundle to create my card, and yes you have guessed it... it is for a challenge. This time it's for Hall about Stamping on Facebook. We were given Melon Mambo, Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sea Foam.
Measurements
Melon Mambo Cardstock
1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
Soft Sea Foam cardstock
1pc - 1 3/4" x 5 7/8"
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 3" x 2 1/4"
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
1pc -2" x 5 7/8".
Create your card base but scoring the melon mambo at 4 1/8" and burnish well. On a scrap of card cut out the detailed die to create a stencil, then use this along with melon mambo ink and sponge through the apertures. I chose to sponge straight up and down to give a move rough, speckled effect.
Next, with the thin long steip of soft sea foam, use the long semi circle design die and cut out along the centre of the strip, now the die isn't long enough to cover the cardstock in one run, so run it through your die cut machine for the first half, then simple line up and run through a second time to cover the full length.
Layer this piece onto the piece of BlackBerry Bliss and add this over to the right of the card front.
On the small piece of soft sea foam, stamp the intricate stamp in soft sea foam ink and sponge well around all the edges in the same ink. Go ober it a few times so you get a darkish edge, this will help provide more contrast again the other piece of soft sea foam. Stamp the sentiment in the centre with BlackBerry Bliss ink and adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
Finally add the soft sea foam panel to the inside.
Now this card does take a bit of time, but I think it's worth it.
