See a Silhouette I Love You Shallow Gift Box

Good Afternoon,

I don't know about you, but I often find it difficult to design and create for the men in my life... I find it much easier to create floral feminine projects. But I needed a box to gift a personalised handkerchief and this is what I can up with, the final dimensions are 3" x 3" x 1/2".....

Measurements

Pacific Point Cardstock
1pc - 7 1/2" x 4"

Old Olive Cardstock
1pc - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

See a Silhouette DSP
1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Plus a scrap of whisper white for the sentiment.

Take you pacific point cardstock and score on the long side at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 and 7". Then in the short side at 1/2" and 3 1/2". Fold and burnish all your score lines well, as this is a small shallow box you will need your edges to be sharp and crisp. Then using your snips cut into all the squares and wedge ever so slightly to create tabs, as below....

Now currently the sides are identical, so choose which panel you would like as your lid and add the Old Olive cardstock and then the DSP on top.

Next we need to turn this into a box, so add tear and tape to all the tabs you created earlier. Take the two on the left hand side and adhere inwards onto the panel with the layers. Then the remaining 4 tabs are to turn in on the opposite panel to create your base.

Finally a small bit of decoration, buy wrapping round some bakers twine and adding a small sentiment.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store......
