I hopw your having a good weekend so far? Yesterday we went to a local park and they have a butterfly house so we decided to take a look. Imogen is far too young to understand where we were, but she loved looking at all the bright colours and listening to the sounds. I particularly loved the fact that there were a load of terrapins just strolling around!!
I have a lovely quick card today, made to give to a friend as she is awesome!!!
Create a cardbase using thick whisper white that measures 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8". Cut two strips of the Blueberry Bushel gingham pattern from the in color DSP stack and add to the card, i used 1/2" x 5 7/8" scraps, but you could use any width you have. Place each strip approx 1/4" from either side of the card front.
Ink up the floral image in lovely lipstick and fill the blank space between the two strips. I used a piece of copier paper to cover the DSP when stamping close to the edge. You may find that the ink misses the cardstock when close to these strips, so i used my stampin write marker to fill in the missed sections. Next, using your blender pen, pull in some of the colour into the petals from the base of the flowers, only a little so yiu add some shading.
Finally, stamp the sentiment in blueberry bushel ink onto a scrap of whisper white, trim down and layer onto a scrap of blueberry bushel cardstock. Add this to the card front with dimensionals.
Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's card, click on the images to head over to my online store......
