Today I have another technique card for you and it's pretty cool!!! It's called emboss resist and is so much fun, you really can make some beautiful cards with this technique.
Take a piece of whisper white cardstock that measures 5 5/8" x 3 7/8 and rub you embossing buddy all over it. This will help remove and oils or moisture on the card, stopping the powder sticking where tou dont want it!!
Ink up the fern image in versamark and cover the whole piece of cardstock. Be careful not to get your fingers all over it, your finger prints will leave the oils we just tried to get rid of!! Sprinkle over clear embossing powder and cover all the wet ink. Gently tap the card from the back to remove any excess powder. Using your heat tool set the powder. Get the heat tool hot and carefully 'melt' all the powder. You will know when its done as the powder will become shiny. Put this to one side to cool.
On a piece of 2 1/4" square whisper white, stamp the friend in shaded spruce in on the bottom edge. Layer this onto a piece of basic black 1/4" larger both ways.
On a scrap stamp out two of the smaller daisies on lovley lipstick and cut out using the medium daisy punch. Curl the petals with a bone folder and adhere together offseting the petals. Stamp a third daisy in pineapple punch and cut of the centre. Then add this to the centre of the flower you created.
Bring back your embossed piece now that it has cooled and it's time to add the colour. I used three shades of green, starting wirh the lightest at the left, i sponged on each colour to cover approx a third, making sure I blended well where they joined. When sponging use circular motionsand start off the page and swirl the sponge toward the paper, thwn onto it in the same motion, this will help you get a more evwn coverage and a smoother finish. Once you have coveres the whole piece, lightly wipe over it to take off the ink that will be sitting over the embossed areas.
Add thia panel to a card abse made from basic black, add thw sentiment panel to the centre and then pop on the flower. Yoh will also need to add a whisper white panel to the inside, so there is somewhere to write!
