Gallery Blooms Bright & Bold Hello Card. Monochromatic Insta Hop - Melon Mambo 2025

  Good Afternoon Everyone,

I did mean to share this last week, but I didn't get round to writing it up! oops!.

The Monochromatic Insta Hop runs each Friday, and the group all showcase a chosen Stampin Up colour. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to join in for a while, but last week I managed a project for Melon Mambo.

I decided to go all out bold and use solid blocks of both Basic Black and Melon Mambo. The frames from Beautiful Motifs were perfect to give me the layered background, finished off very simply with a black and white flower fro Gallery Blooms.

What do you think?

Measurements - to create 2 cards.

Melon Mambo Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 4" x 6" approx

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 4" x 6" approx

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

2pc - scrap

--------------------------------------

Take the two larger pieces of Basic Black and Melon Mambo card stock and fold along the score lines to create your card bases, adding one of the 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" pieces of Basic White to the inside of each card base.

On the scraps of Basic White stamp the flower image twice in Memento Tuxedo Black ink twice.

Bring in your Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out these flowers using the coordinating die. Then take the rectangle frame die and run it through twice, once with the remaining piece of Basic Black and Melon Mambo.

Lay the card fronts in front of you and layer the die cut frames alternating colours. So add the largest and smallest Basic Black frame onto the Melon Mambo card base, adding the middle sized Melon Mambo to the centre of these two - this gives a nice layered effect without the bulk of lots of actual layers.

Repeat this with the remaining pieces of Frame onto the Basic Black piece.

Make sure all the pieces are adhered down well. I used liquid glue to stick these down as it gave me a little wiggle time to get everything lined up and straight.

Ink up the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamp onto one of the Melon Mambo frames.

Pop some dimensionals onto the back to the die cut flowers and add one to each card front. Make sure the stem sits above the sentiment.

I absolutely loved creating this card, and felt great to make two at once as well!

Please head on over to my Instagram page to check out the rest of the hop - this group is incredibly talented and there's so much inspiration to be had.... My Instagram Page
