Beautiful Gallery Thank You for Everything Card. Touches of Ink Blog Hop - May 2025

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Touches of Ink ladies. We hop each month, and although we don't have a set theme we are encouraged to stay with a suite or bundle.

You may have realised already, but the Beautiful Gallery Suite is a firm favourite of mine from our brand new annual catalogue. I decided to try my hand at a CAS (clean and Simple) card today. Sometimes it's great to have layers and layers and a lot of embellishments and processes involved - but other times, simple is the way forward and I love how my card turned out.

What do you think?

Measurements

Blackberry Bliss Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap

--------------------------------------------

Take the Blackberry Bliss card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

Ink up the corner flower cluster in memento black ink and stamp in two opposite corners.

Colour in using your Stampin Blends. I used the Light Blackberry Bliss for the flowers, Dark Daffodil Delight for the flower centres and Dark Old Olive for the leaves.

Once coloured, adhere this panel to the card front.

On a scrap of Basic White, stamp the 'scribble' in 2nd Generation ( stamped off once to give a lighter shade) in Daffodil Delight. Stamp the sentiment in memento ink directly over the 'scribble' image and then cut out using the 2" circle punch. Cut a 2 3/8" circle from Blackberry Bliss card stock. Layer these together with dimensionals and add to the centre of the card front, again with dimensionals.

I love the simplicity of this design, and its a great card to batch make, you could do all sorts of colour ways and even leave off the sentiment circle and just have these to hand - adding a sentiment as you need it!

Please take a few minutes to continue through our hop. We have some incredibly talented ladies in the group and you are sure to get a tonne of inspiration. Janice Thomson is up next, be sure to start there and see what she has created first.
